How to use an HR Chatbot for recruitment: applying via WhatsApp
WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps worldwide with 2 billion users. Since 2019 companies can also use the official WhatsApp Business API. With the enormous reach of WhatsApp, it is therefore logical that companies search for new talents and employees via this channel.

Apply via WhatsApp
The end-user fills in his mobile phone number via the form on the website and then the user automatically receives a message in WhatsApp via a chatbot. Subsequently, a couple of questions are asked as intake. For example, you will be asked for your zip code, age and the number of hours you want to work. As a user, you simply respond via WhatsApp and if you meet the requirements (old enough, sufficient number of hours, etc.), you will be called for a telephone intake.
Chatbot as the first intake
The company has the advantage that such a bot is scalable. It doesn’t matter how many people start the conversation, the bot never gets tired. The biggest challenge of this bot is a check behind the scenes.
That’s because data is requested and on the basis of this data, various components are triggered. For example, the user enters his zip code and a search is carried out behind the scenes for the nearest Action location based on the zip code.
Subsequently, the rest of the candidate details such as name, telephone number, date of birth and the number of hours that the candidate wants to work are forwarded by e-mail to the correct location.
As a follow-up, the candidate can be called by someone from the nearest store to continue the application.

- Access to the Official WhatsApp Business API
